Alive with an experimental electro rock vibe and a bite of confident production the track is a polished and powerful introduction to the band. Receiving early praise for its infectious guitar sound, vocal delivery & disco punk energy there is solid anticipation building ahead of the debut album release due out later this year.

After a year of holding back on releasing the record for the last 12 months they deliver a more than apt lyrical hook with ‘We’re on the edge of nothing, so we’ve got to start something.’ The single’s thumping intro and lively delivery are a sure sign that something has started with a bang in the Deathretro camp.

Initial album recording sessions at Greenmount Studios (Easy Life, The Cribs, Mush) captured the raw live feel of the band shaping their well toured tracks into a powerful & punchy format. After later connecting with Grant Henderson at Loom Studios the record took on a new shape with analogue production techniques & additional synth layers.

‘Edge of Nothing’ lands with a remix by HEXAGONS and delivers an energetic and punchy synth bass driven sound. HEXAGONS signature sound is powered by their obsession with analogue synths & drum machines including the TR707, SH101 & TB-303.

The track gives a taste of the full remix album due out later this year with beats ready to soundtrack the return to clubs, festivals and sweaty basement raves. Other friends and collaborators on the remix record include The Olchemist, Freear, Joe Thompson & Ocelus.
